I ran as a Labour Councillor in Beaver Ward because as a resident of Ashford for most of my life, I know Ashford well. I’m very community oriented and feel that the residents of Ashford have been neglected. Therefore, I would like to make a difference by representing the needs of Beaver Ward residents. Having retired from the NHS after 43 years, the latter half working as a Public Health Nurse working with the most vulnerable families within our community, I have the time to commit to our local community. During lockdown I was instrumental in community support work delivering medicines and food to our elderly and vulnerable local residents.Having elected both of us (Lyn Suddards and I) in May 2023 we will continue to be visible and together we will both campaign tirelessly for

• Safer streets and campaign for more visible policing in our area.
• To protect green spaces, play areas & encourage wild flower meadows.
• The regeneration of Ashford’s town centre making it family friendly and safe to visit.
